Fox News anchors Dana Perino and Chris Wallace were nothing less than impressed with former First Lady Michelle Obama’s keynote speech on night one of the (virtual) Democratic National Convention — specifically dialing in on the way Michelle ripped up President Donald Trump.
“I think that the DNC if they look over the course of the night, the first virtual convention of our history, I think they would say that Michelle Obama stuck the landing,” Perino said, while adding that as far as authenticity, Michelle Obama “has it in spades.”
Wallace, who has received mounds of criticism by Fox News viewers for his seemingly anti-Trump reporting over the past year, was excited about Michelle’s message to Democratic voters, virtually saying that her criticism of President Trump was a total success.
“She really flayed, sliced and diced Donald Trump talking about the chaos and confusion and lack of empathy, especially coming from this president and this White House, spoke more about the deficits of Donald Trump than the pluses of Joe Biden, but did talk about especially, not so much policies, but especially his empathy and what he has been through and his care for average Americans,” Wallace said.
“She said we have to vote for Joe Biden like our lives depend on it. And again, very practical, not just this is what you’re feeling should be, but you have to get out, you have to vote, you have to convince your neighbors to vote. This was a very effective speech,” Wallace added.
In recent days, President Trump has slammed Fox News for a number of issues, including newly released polls by the media giant that seem to show Biden with a somewhat comfortable lead over the incumbent president.

The President also lambasted Michelle Obama in the wake of her opening night speech to Democratic voters — even taking a shot at what he called a “very late” endorsement of former Vice President Joe Biden.
Somebody please explain to @MichelleObama that Donald J. Trump would not be here, in the beautiful White House, if it weren’t for the job done by your husband, Barack Obama. Biden was merely an afterthought, a good reason for that very late & unenthusiastic endorsement…..
